What does a hair salon website cost?

At Rachel Elz Studios, a website for your hair salon costs €1,200 flat (excl. VAT), all-in: a site built to get found in local search results, hosting, and one AI workflow of your choice, such as online booking. You only pay once you've seen the site and want to keep it. Prices across the market vary widely, and so does what you get for them; when you compare, look closely at what is and isn't included.

Sound familiar?

You're elbow-deep in color and the phone rings. Calling back gets lost in the shuffle, and meanwhile that client has booked somewhere else. In the evening, while you're closing out the register, people are on the couch planning their next haircut. Except your salon is closed by then.

Then there's the appointment book itself. A paper planner, an app, texts from regulars, a note by the mirror. Every change has to be copied over by hand, and one forgotten appointment means a chair sitting empty for an hour.

Platforms like Treatwell solve part of this: people can book there any time. But you pay a commission on those bookings, even when they're regulars who have known you for years. A site of your own with its own way to book alongside it means those regulars can come straight to you.

Take a look at the demo: Salon Vondel & Vos

To show you exactly what you get, I built Salon Vondel & Vos: a fictional salon, but a real, working site. Everything the demo does, your site can do too. Three things to watch for.

One: online booking, even at 11 p.m. A client picks a service, sees which times are open, and confirms. The first you hear of it is when the appointment shows up in your calendar. The client who would otherwise be at a competitor tomorrow because your phone is off in the evening is now in your chair.

Two: a price list you update yourself. In the demo, cuts are €48 and €34, color starts at €78, balayage is €145, and kids are €22. When your prices go up, you change them yourself: five minutes of work, live right away, no web developer needed.

Three: reminders against no-shows. Anyone who books gets an automatic reminder beforehand. In a salon, a forgotten appointment means an empty chair at a time someone else would gladly have filled. A quick message ahead of time catches exactly that.

Feel free to click around: the demo lives at /demo/salon. Everything you see there can be carried over one-to-one to your salon, with your name, your prices, and your calendar.

What you get for €1,200

Everything below is included in the Get Found package: one flat fee of €1,200 (excl. VAT), no deposit. Done in two to three weeks.

The tooling behind the workflow, such as the booking system, comes with its own costs. Those are listed upfront in the quote, so you know exactly what you're paying monthly before you say yes.

  • A website built to get found when someone in your area is looking for a salon, with your services, price list, hours, and photos of your work
  • One AI workflow of your choice; for a salon, the booking link is the obvious pick: appointments and confirmations run automatically
  • Prefer something else? There's also a receptionist that answers missed calls and messages day and night, or review requests on autopilot
  • Hosting included; the domain name is registered in your own name (about €15 per year)
  • A one-page plan: three to five concrete next steps for after launch

How it works: see it before you pay

I'm Rachel and I build everything myself, from Haarlem. I focus on salons in Haarlem, Heemstede, Bloemendaal, and Zandvoort. No agency, no account manager: you email directly with the person building your site.

And 'see it before you pay' is literal here. I build your site, you look it over, and you only pay once you want to keep it. If you don't want it, you pay nothing. That way you can judge the actual result before any money changes hands.
